Montaña de Colores - The Mountains of Peru ~ The Rainbow Mountain or Vinicunca is a mountain near Cusco in Peru.  Considered a holy site in Peru.  The reason we see the rainborw coloration in the straigraphic layers of the Ausangate mountain is largely due to weathering and mineralogy when the sediment was originally deposited and subsequently digenetically altered.
