Once described as “the most remarkable reef in the West Indies,” the Belizean Barrier Reef, serves as the largest coral reef system in the Western Hemisphere. Despite multiple measures to protect and sustain the conservation of its biodiversity, the Belizean Barrier Reef faces threat from oceanic pollution, uncontrolled tourism, hurricanes, and most significantly from global warming resulting in coral bleaching and ultimately coral decimation. Through the art of mas, let us take you on a journey, a journey showcasing one of the most treasured natural jewels within the Caribbean Sea. Indulge your very existence within realms of pinks, blues, and neon yellows. Adorn your body with remnants of a West Indian queendom, founded upon the ocean floor. Display the colors of our heritage, a heritage sustained in nature’s beauty as we work de lakeshore and parade the Belizean Barrier Reefs exquisiteness on land. This is “Coral Reign” and the existence of this natural monarchy, lays within your hands!
