Forget the cliché Valentine’s weekend pressure. Whether you’re riding solo, looking to make new connections, or bringing a favorite plus-one, we’ve set a place for you on the table. On Friday, February 13th, we’re taking over Funkey’s Delicacies for an evening that’s equal parts delicious, soulful, and intentional.

This is a curated hangout designed to bridge the gap between "stranger" and "friend." Expect a room full of cool people, fun, and that effortless AV Club vibe.

✨ The Experience

We’re blending the intimacy of a dinner party with the energy of a late-night lounge. Here is what’s on the menu (besides the food):

• The Icebreakers: Curated games and light activities that help you meet people without forcing anything.
• The Vibes: A backdrop of great music and even better company.
• Smile, You're on Camera: Our photographers will be on-site to catch your best angles so dress like you’re meeting someone special (because you are).
• The Food: A fixed set menu of soul-warming Nigerian delicacies by Funkey’s.

🍽️ Ticketing & Entry: Your ticket is your all-access pass to the evening.

• Single Ticket ($40): Includes entry + a $35 food voucher to use toward your dinner.
• Duo Ticket: Bring a bestie or a date and lock in your spots together.

Note: The menu is built around the $35 voucher price point, so you’ll be good. If you want extras beyond the voucher, the kitchen and bar will be open for you to purchase more.

A few things to know before you come through. This is a 19+ event, so valid ID is required. There’s no strict dress code, just come as you are and make it cute if that feels right for you. We care a lot about the energy in the room, so respectful vibes only, for the space, the staff, and each other. Doors open at 7:00 PM and programming starts at 7:30 PM, so arriving early is highly recommended to catch the full experience. Tickets are non-refundable but fully transferable if your plans change. Space is limited and intentionally kept intimate.
