Description
As the Olympics draws near, we the Committee of the Trinidad & Tobago Grand Games (a newly formed organisation) recognise our athletes’ abilities as well as their potential for medalling. We understand the need to provide them with a rare opportunity to measure up against rivals they would more than likely face should they qualify; only this opportunity will be on home soil.
On May 21st 2016 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port-of-Spain, the Trinidad & Tobago Grand Games will boast a strong international line-up of world-class athletes, in full Class-1 competition, as we have been granted a NACAC area permit to host this meet. This is the first time in over 30 years one has been granted for an event in our territory and we are making the best of it.
In keeping with our plans to make the most of this opportunity we are therefore:
Securing Top Competition
Preparing the Venue to appropriate standards
Marketing & Promoting every aspect of the event
Planning & Executing the many phases and areas of the event
The Trinidad & Tobago Grand Games Athletics Invitational 2016 is nothing short of a monumental task that requires the support of citizens and of corporate Trinidad & Tobago.
