As the days of the gala event at Toronto are coming close, it is obvious to see something or the other in the media. One of the ways it is making new is for creating history as all the participants are being paid in full informs Yannick Beazer the Chairman of the Caribana Planning Committee.  The Caribana festivities was seen on the sister isle being organized in between May 12 to 16 with a number of participants that include the competitors along with the service providers of the last years usually complained about the delay in the payment, however, this is everyone was paid the full.

Beazer informed that the cheques for the said payments were disseminated on the right time, which in fact started a week once the Caribana was seen getting concluded the last week. The Chairman of the Caribana Planning Committee then thanked to people supporting the group like Mr. Maurice Merchant and Festival Commission, Emrick John, Culture Committee and the Barbuda Council and Mr E P Chet Greene for their good jobs in this regard. The said people were seen playing a satisfying role and thus made everyone happy who participated in Caribana 2016.

The Chairman didn’t release the exact figure that was given to the participants, but promised to make it public soon. He then said that they are expecting early payment and it will remain the same until they have the same group in their team and Festival Commission plays the role right. He then said that the event would be a bigger one this time, which will be organized without any issues or problems. In the year August 2015, Greene was seen intervening after Barbuda Calypso Monarch Julia and Beazer were seen threatening to get her lawyer to get her main prize, which was nothing but a Hyundai vehicle. In fact, the monarch was seen waiting for a couple of months before making the threat.
