Tickets For Toronto's Infinity Mirrors Exhibition Go On Sale This Week

Tuesday, Dec 12 05:46 AM

You know that dazzling mirror exhibition you've been seeing all over Instagram? It's finally coming to Toronto, and you can officially buy tickets for it this week.

Infinity Mirrors will be making its only Canadian tour stop at the AGO early next year, where visitors will be able to experience six of Yayoi Kusama's kaleidoscopic environments at once.

And now, we can finally get our hands on some tickets. The AGO is releasing its first set of tickets to members on Tuesday, December 12th at noon. Not a member? A gallery membership costs $110 for an adult, and that gets you into Infinity Mirrors at no cost, so now might be the time to sign up. Everyone else can get their tickets on Tuesday, January 16th at noon.

The phenomenal exhibition, created by an 88-year-old Japanese artist, will feature various whimsical installations from the early 1950s to the present. And judging from its popularity in other cities, most recently Singapore, you can expect big lines, a bunch of hype and plenty of people trying to nab tickets.

However, because the exhibition is so popular and unique, tickets will only be sold in specific time slots. Visitors are advised to arrive early and not miss their ticketed time. Late entry is not guaranteed and you definitely don't want to miss this.

According to the AGO, visitors will have a limit of 20 to 30 seconds in each of the six rooms, so have your Snapchat filters ready and your camera fully charged. The wait time for each room is estimated at 20 minutes, so you do have plenty of time to make sure your hair looks good before you're ushered in and out.

The opening date for what will no doubt become Toronto's hottest art exhibit is still a few months away, landing in The 6ix on March 3rd and available to marvel at until May 27th, 2018.
