Toronto's New Year's Eve Celebrations Feature Headliner, Walk Off The Earth

As the Christmas holiday comes to a close, preparations begin to ramp up for Toronto’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Nathan Phillips Square. More than 50,000 people are expected to attend Saturday, when the event kicks off with a skating party at 7 p.m.

The Juno Award winning band, Walk Off The Earth from Burlington, Ontario, will be headlining the musical performances just before 11 p.m.

Other bands before them include Nefe, Exco Levi & High Priest, DJ Shub, and Boogat.

The 32nd annual event will also kick-off TO Canada with Love!, a year-long celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday.

The countdown to 2017 begins with a fireworks display at 11:55 p.m.
