Don’t miss these Miami events in the month of December.

With the holidays in full swing, the month of December offers a number of family-friendly events to celebrate the season. And don’t miss this year’s highly-anticipated edition of Art Basel Miami Beach and satellite events during Miami Art Week.

Santa’s Enchanted Forest: Nov. 1 - Jan. 3

The largest holiday theme park in the world, Santa’s Enchanted Forest is happening at Tropical Park. Enjoy more than three million Christmas lights, carnival rides, shows, games and a 92-foot tall Christmas tree.

Deering Holiday Wonderland: Dec. 1 – 31

Tour the elegant Deering Estate as it’s festively decorated for the holidays. The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony is Dec. 4. Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 4 to 14.

Art Basel Miami Beach and Miami Art Week: Dec. 3-6

Held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Art Basel Miami Beach will draw more than 73,000 art dealers, artists, collectors and aficionados to Miami during the fair, held this year from Dec. 3-6, 2015. Juanes Loco de Amor Tour: Dec. 4

Juanes, Latin Rock’s leading global ambassador is scheduled to perform his Loco de Amor Tour at AmericanAirlines Arena. Tickets start at $37.50 per person and are available through Ticketmaster.

Kenny G 2015 Holiday Show: Dec. 4

Kenny G will perform his popular Jazz Roots Holiday Show at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on Dec. 4. He has sold more than 8 million copies of his Christmas album and continues to sell out concerts both in the United States and abroad. Tickets start at $25 per person and are available through the Arsht Center.

Pinecrest Gardens Annual Holiday Festival: Dec. 5

Ring in the holiday season at the Pinecrest Gardens' Sixth Annual Holiday Festival presented by First Bank of Florida. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. enjoy performances by the Miami Children’s Theater and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony. There will be pony rides, face painting, animal shows, arts and crafts, model trains and pictures with Santa. A free shuttle is available at Palmetto Senior High. Tickets are $5 per person.

The Nutcracker: Dec. 5, 11 and 27

Enjoy multiple performances of The Nutcracker this holiday season, including:
1. Thomas Armour Youth Ballet's 39th annual production of the Nutcracker on Dec. 5 in Little Havana at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium.
2. Art Ballet Theatre of Florida’s Nutcracker performance on Dec. 11 at the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center.
3. Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker on Dec. 27 at The Fillmore Miami Beach.

Maria Rivas Home for the Holidays: Dec. 12

Presented by South Motors, Maria Rivas Home for the Holidays concert will take place at Pinecrest Gardens. Tickets start at $25 per person.

Greater Miami Symphonic Band Family Holiday Concert: Dec. 13

The Greater Miami Symphonic Band will present its annual Family Holiday Concert in the Banyan Bowl at Pinecrest Gardens. Tickets start at $25 per person.

Sarge, the Chanukah Chutzpah Tour: Dec. 19-20

Enjoy entertaining comedy and inspiring music during Sarge: the Chanukah Chutzpah Tour at the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center on Dec. 19 and 20. Tickets start at $35 and are available through Ticketmaster.

Sounds of the Season with the New World Symphony: Dec. 18

Led by Christian Reif, the New World Symphony presents a festive program, Sounds of the Season, celebrating the holidays and offering audience members an opportunity to gather and share the music with friends and family. Tickets start at $30 per person and are available through the New World Symphony.

Miami Beach Bowl: Dec. 21

The second edition of the Miami Beach Bowl college postseason football game will be played on Monday, Dec. 21, 2:30 p.m. at Marlins Park. The game will feature a top team from the American Athletic Conference against a team from Conference USA and will be televised on ESPN and broadcast by ESPN Radio.

Capital One Orange Bowl Football Game: Dec. 31

The 2015 college football playoff game at the Capital One Orange Bowl will take place at Sun Life Stadium on New Year’s Eve. Time and tickets to be determined.

New Year’s Eve: Dec. 31

Every year Miami offers a wide variety of New Year’s Eve parties and celebrations, like the City of Miami Beach New Year's Eve Celebration featuring fireworks at midnight on the beach and Pitbull’s New Year’s Eve Revolution 2015 in downtown at Bayfront Park.
