What’s Open And Closed On Family Day In Toronto

Finally, a long weekend is finally upon us after what feels like forever. Something about the dreary and cold winter months makes January and February go by so slowly. Yet now we finally have the chance to kick back and chill for an extra day!

For some, this weekend will be spent going home to spend time with your loved ones while others will just enjoy an extra day out of the office. No matter what you do just make sure you take some time to relax.

If you need to run some errands, don’t worry! We have the complete list of everything that will be open, or possibly closed, on Monday so you don’t waste any of that valuable relaxing time!


If you want to run to the mall:

Eaton Cente – 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Square One –  11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Vaughn Mills – 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Yorkdale – CLOSED

Fairview – CLOSED

STC – CLOSED

Sherway – CLOSED


If you need an escape route from your Grandparents house:

TTC – Will be running on holiday hours, so plan your commute accordingly!

GO Transit – Will be running on a Saturday schedule, so plan your commute accordingly!


If you need some liquid tolerance for your family:

LCBO – All LCBO stores will be closed for Family Day.

The Beer Store – All Beer Store locations will be closed for Family Day.

The Wine Rack – Most Wine Rack locations will be closed.


If your family forgets you’re a vegan… again:

Sobeys – Most locations will be closed with some exceptions. You can check your local Sobeys hours here.

Loblaws – All locations closed except Maple Leaf Gardens store.

Longos – All stores closed for Family Day.
